  • Here is the static skin clecoed into position.
  • Fitting the HS-9 ribs into the static skin
  • Here you can see the static skins with both ribs clecoed into position. This is the last step before deburring the holes, cleaning up the aluminum shavings and Sharpie marks, and riveting.
  • The two HS-9 ribs are riveted to the rear spar of the stabilator
  • And the HS-8 static skins are riveted to the stabilator, the ribs, and each other at the trailing edge. This is the bottom view.

  • Here you can see the left half of the horizontal stabilator. This is the horizontal part of the tail, with the trailing edge at the left of the picture. The newly attached static skins are at the far end. The anti-servo tab (a/k/a the trim tab) is temporarily attached with a couple of clecoes.
